Our second Roaring Rhetoric event is marked down on the calendars!! We hope you all are excited about this one! We are just as excited for this show, since both features are dear friends who have great history with the roots of Roaring Rhetoric. Both creatives are vets, and professionals in the art of spoken word!
Our first feature is coming all the way from Des Moines Iowa, Dallas Whitefield!
Dallas Whitefield is a sophomore and the Des Moines Area Community College in Ames Iowa. He is active in the Ames and Des Moines poetry scenes and is working on his first poetry collection. Dallas is also a spoken word artist and a teachers assistant at Kate Mitchell Elementary. He also loves to dive into any form of the arts and is always willing to build relationships with anyone he meets.
The second feautre artist of the night is the legend himself, the Quad Cities Spoken Word OG and catalyst for the arts, Chris Britton!!
Chris Britton is the Director of YouthHope’s M.A.D. Skills outreach program. He has inspired hundreds of youth by engaging them in a relevant model of creative expression. Utilizing the elements of hip-hop and poetry, Chris teaches creative writing at Thurgood Marshall Learning Center. His approach provides academic enrichment and promotes social-emotional learning.
With our special, charismatic Emcee for the night, Crunk Chocolate of the Stuck in The Middle Podcast, this show will definitely be one you will not want to miss!
