26 Apr Construction Update: Demolition off to a great start
As you can see, demolition has begun and Rebuild Downtown Rock Island is off to a great start. Please make sure you’re following the signs and using designated pedestrian routes when walking near construction zones. Throughout the entire project, there will be a safe and accessible path for downtown customers, employees, residents and visitors. In addition, the City and Valley Construction are working together to secure temporary lighting within the project limits during the construction period.
Interested in adding lighting to the exterior of your business? Businesses and property owners may be reimbursed up to $1,000 for the purchase and installation through the Downtown Alliance’s Safety Rebate Program. This includes motion-sensor lighting. Please apply before making a purchase.
