The 28th Annual Quad Cities Marathon will take place on Sunday, September 28, with the Downtown Rock Island neighborhood once again featured on the course.

This year’s route will include additional downtown blocks to highlight recent community improvements.

Traffic Impact (7:30 a.m.–12 p.m.)

Expect minor delays on:

• 2nd Ave. (15th St.–20th St.)
• 3rd Ave. (18th St.–20th St.)
• 18th St. (1st Ave.–3rd Ave.)
• 20th St. (2nd Ave.–3rd Ave.)

No full street closures are planned. Rock Island Police will be at intersections to ensure safety. The only restricted parking will be on the south side of 3rd Ave. between 18th St. and 19th St.

Get Involved

We encourage residents, businesses and visitors to show their support by cheering on participants. The intersection of 2nd Ave. & 18th St. will serve as a hub of activity for volunteers and spectators. Please join us!
